Anne McEneaney
Counsellor and Psychotherapist, MBACP
You may need help for a general feeling of unhappiness or anxiety, or you may have experienced a loss, or you may need to make sense of something. I will provide you with a safe, calm, and confidential space for us to explore and process what is troubling you. I offer a supportive, warm approach to psychotherapy. The goal of our work together is to help you move to a place of understanding, healing and acceptance.
ABOUT ME
I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). As a Member of the BACP, I am bound by its ethical framework, and I am committed to its high standards of practice and continued professional learning.
I offer counselling for adults (18+), both in person and online. I am based in North London, with private, comfortable rooms in Finchley (N3) and Highgate (N6). I provide short-term and
open-ended counselling, depending on what is best for you.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a Staff Counsellor for a North London Counselling Charity. For many years, I worked for charities supporting families and woman in difficulty.

WHAT TO EXPECT

To help you decide if I am the right person to support you, I offer a free 20-minute telephone conversation to discuss what has brought you to therapy and how I might help.
If we feel happy to proceed, we will agree a time for a 50 minute initial assessment so I can understand more about your past and present circumstances. We will also discuss whether short-term counselling or open-ended counselling would be most suitable for you.
After this, if we both agree that I am the right person to work with you, we will a decide on a time and day for weekly 50-minute sessions, which can be either online or face-to face.
